RISKcom content is primarily based on peer-reviewed literature. Risk summaries are also based on information published in peer-reviewed scientific journals but also considers credible websites and exhaustive reports.

The first layer of information of a risk issue is a short paragraph description of the issue. For more detailed information, it is suggested to go the full summary which includes sections on Background information, Health risk, Risk management, Useful links, and Further reading. The reader can also find a comprehensive overview of a risk issue when available for some topics only.
